I just spent two lovely days with Tati. Yesterday evening we went to the cinema to watch Skyfall (third time for me, first time for her). She obviously loved it, and it was great to discuss it with her after a whole month of biting my tongue out of fear of accidental spoilers. :D
When we came out of the cinema, after midnight, it was snowing, big white fluffy snowflakes, the first snow of the season, so beautiful. And this morning when I woke up the snow was still there, much to Sakura's puzzlement.
Believe me, here in Venice that counts as a lot of snow. ;)
As per tradition, today I decorated my little Christmas tree. Such luck for that to happen on the first day of snow! This year I moved it from its usual table to this new location, because now that little table is where the vinyl record player is.
I had some tinsel left, so I decorated some of the furniture. I bought this music stand with my aunt, we saw it in a store and fell instantly in love. I usually put artbooks there (they look so pretty!) except for when Tati uses it to sing and once last month to play the oboe (yes, she's that awesome). ♥
I've decided that after too many years this holiday season I want to try my hand at making christmas cookies. I found some great recipes I had stashed in a bookshelf, on monday I'll buy the ingredients and see what happens. Wish me luck! :D

Anche qui c'è la neve,anzi attualmente è in corso una simpatica tempesta di neve mista a pioggia (ed è un bene così almeno non si poggia tutta) e anche io stamattina ho fatto l'albero con fuori una bella nevicata,puro stile natalizio *__*

Da noi la neve è durata pochissimo: solo da ieri pomeriggio a stamattina, e comunque era una spruzzatina microscopica, che non ha neanche coperto il prato. Meglio così, comunque: dovendomi spostare ogni giorno per portare la figlia a scuola e fare le commissioni per il lavoro, la neve per me purtroppo non è più tanto una magia, quanto una rottura di scatole... a meno che non scenda quando siamo in vacanza, allora sì che è la benvenuta! :)
Voglio anch'io la foto (e magari la ricetta) dei tuoi biscottini natalizi! Io domani voglio provare a fare degli scones con il philadelphia da mangiare con il thé. E' la prima volta che li provo: speriamo che vengano buoni!!!
