I agree. I don't say we should ban tourism here in Venice (that would be stupid, I know, as it's the main source of money for the city), but we should decide a number of tourists allowed by year, and stick to it! When I was a kid, in the 80s, there were tourists, and still my mom took me on my babycar every day at St Marco's square. Today, it's absolutely impossible. You don't see Venetians there. It's depressing. And all those people contribute in making the city sink, and even if there were lots of scientist who told that, nobody cares. =_=
