We're back! Tati and I went to Florence for three days, to see Mumford & Sons in concert. The adorable
harriet_yuuko was our host, and the lovely
juuhachi_go joined us. We had the most wonderful time, and I took a lot of pictures! And I fangirled like the rabid Assassin's Creed fangirl that I am, because forget years of classical studies, the important thing is I climbed these monuments with Ezio Auditore. :D

The view from Harriet's house. The weather was unusually cold, but it turned sunny later on, and the hills are stunning in any weather.

The Florence Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It is absolutely breathtaking. I started jumping up and down, screaming "it's real, it's real!" and variations of "I climbed that, and that, and the Campanile, and over there too".

Yours truly. ;)

Harriet, JuuhachiGo and me. I love this picture! *____*

Palazzo della Signoria (where Ezio's father was imprisoned).

It's not the original David, obviously. But it's still an incredible experience to see it here, where Michelangelo wanted it, guarding the square.

The hall. We had great seats, very close to the stage. It was sold out, and the place can hold 9.500 persons. The first time I saw one of their concerts, it was last year in Verona in the Roman Theater, that can hold 2000 persons. Wow.

They were absolutely amazing.

I loved the lights, they are used as part of the songs in a way that no other band does. Lover of the Light was so beautiful it was a spiritual experience.

They did a fantastic Ghosts that We Knew, a slow, intimate version that brought tears to my eyes.

They also complimented us a lot, in a really good Italian, as it was almost ten thousand of us and we never missed a beat and we knew all the lyrics. *____*

And they finished with The Cave, that I consider MY song, so by the end I was on the moon. ♥
I did a bit of shopping and got a birthday gift too, but I'll post pictures tomorrow. Today I have episodes to watch, my favourite fics have updated, it's going to be a busy sunday. ;)

Date: 2013-03-17 05:28 pm (UTC)I actually went dark purple, but after a month the colour has almost disappeared, so now my hair looks blonde again, because I have to bleach it before I can dye it. I'll definitely dye it purple again before easter, and maybe remember to take a picture this time beefore shampooing it into oblivion. ;)
